To look good, you need to feel good, and it is at this moment that we decide to develop a clothing line and focus on prints - not just drawings, but images with an ironic plot and positive associations - everything is built on carefully selected details.

2016 - Let’s starting
We, my mother and I, are starting our production of women's clothing. This is how our first brand with the slogan "With love for your body" was born. Natural materials, elegant cut, attention to detail, a lot of handmade work, original patterns, local small production - all these have become integral features and philosophy of the brand. The brand quickly gained momentum and gained the trust of thousands of customers around the world. Manita lacitta idea, design and production in Latvia.

2018 - The trial-trip
We decide that we are ready for a new stage of development: expanding the range of products. Thus was born MANIITA LACITTA - a brand of women's and children's clothing. The first models of the model with the image of a cat appeared: dresses, polo shirts and shirts.
Then it was not the main line of the brand, most likely it was testing a hypothesis, a product and our possibilities to make the cat not ashamed.SUSTAINABILITY:
Partners:production facilities in different remote regions (material and then finished products could move to the factory and back for more than 1 week and travel more than 1000 km)
Materials:almost 60% of the new steel assortment is blended materials
Team:more than 45 people are involved in the steel production chain who were not involved in the brand, but only performed their commercial functions
Environment:active growth in production, the appearance of a seasonal assortment, an increase in cuttings and the number of defective products.
2019 - Inspiration of success
There was no stopping us. We are expanding our assortment even more, using materials of different composition and attracting more and more different new partners. This year we have produced the maximum number of garments since starting the business and set a plan: to reach the target of 15,000 units of finished products per month and move production from local factories to those in Turkey and China.

Environment:production defects increase by 5 times! Defects became such a problem that I even brought in three consultants to help me find a solution.

2020 - Freeze and re-thinking
We continued to work throughout the first quarter of 2020. And then, as in Hollywood films, the whole team went into lockdown in one day ... an incomprehensible time ...
I increasingly caught myself thinking thata smart person needs not just clothes, they need positive emotion and a little bit of elegant irony. Materials:only 40% of the range are mixed materials
Team:remote work of the whole team, except for 2 employees from the main office-warehouse
Environment:peace of mind in work for the whole team - there is no more race, but there is a conscious approach to their work, a decrease in the burden on logistics and waste
Most importantly: we made a real plan for the transformation of MANIITA LACITTA into a brand with an emotional product and an even partnership at all stages of production with respect for the environment.
At the moment, for example, we do not produce more than 4000 products with the Cat, because this is the maximum quantity that our partners can produce - a local printing production next to our clothing production.It is important for us: to support the local economy of small industries, reduce the carbon footprint throughout the entire production cycle and make a product that evokes positive emotions among customers. -
Our plan for 2027 - Re-developing
We will remain an ironic local European brand with a product that evokes a satisfied smile, good emotions and the joy of buying. There are many tasks behind this goal: quality, preparation for an international audit for ethics and compliance of the brand with eco-standards in Europe.
Manita lacitta idea, design and production in Latvia. The total production is not more than 10,000 pcs. a month of clothing that lifts the mood, new prints are waiting because they are "with a good sense of humor."
Team: continuous development on the principle of "peace at work" for the entire team - a conscious approach to their work, colleagues, partners.
When the process brings joy, and you are satisfied with the result.SUSTAINABILITY:
Partners: manufacture of products in small family local textile workshops in Latvia, Turkey, Ukraine and Poland.
Materials: 20% range of materials recycled plastic and cotton / 30% of the range of organic materials and fabrics.
Team:more than 50 people are involved in the production and sales chain, sharing the principles of sustainable development of the brand.
